The top five money leaders on the PGA Tour – Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Pat Perez, and Dustin Johnson – all sat out The Honda Classic, and so not much changed in terms of the horse race.
In fact, Matsuyama and Thomas are still far out in front of the field in terms of separation, with both sitting at near-double the money of third-place Spieth.
Rickie Clears $1M Mark
The one shake up inside the top-10 was the entrance of Rickie Fowler. The 28-year-old Fowler arrived at PGA National in 51st place with season-earnings of $530K. But with the win, Fowler earned $1.12M and moved all the way up to the 9th spot.
The California native has now earned $1,682,133 in 4 official Tour events this season.
