Rory McIlroy, Carly Booth Plank For Gary Player

Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy well-wished Gary Player on his 82nd birthday by partaking in the #Plank4Player challenge.

McIlroy, 28, posted his Player tribute to his Instagram account.

At the end of my gym session I remembered it was @gary.player 82nd birthday today. What better way to honor the legend and pioneer of fitness for golf than doing a plank. Hopefully everyone can join me today and #PLANK4PLAYER to honor the great man!

The World No. 4, who hasn’t teed it up since early last month at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (T63), is in the midst of a planned four-month layoff.

Joining McIlroy was Ladies European Tour star Carly Booth.
