In the opening round of the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, two-time tournament champ Rory McIlroy found himself stuck behind a trio of trees following an errant tee shot on the par-4 12th hole.

Instead of punching out, Rory cuts his ball between the front and left trees, from 154 yards, and lands his TaylorMade golf ball just 4 feet of the flag.

Unfortunately, Rory missed what looked to be a easy birdie putt – knocking it about four feet past the hole. He did save par, though, on the comebacker, and went on to birdie Nos. 14, 15, and 16 to finish with a share of the lead at 5-under par.
