Jon Rahm was just off the green on the 18th hole at Torrey Pines, holding onto a 1-stroke lead at 11-under-par. The Arizona State alum was looking at a long downhill putt, and the pre-shot analysis was for Rahm to get it close for a makeable birdie and a two-stroke lead.
Well, the 22-year-old from Spain had other ideas, and drained it for an eagle to go to 13-under-par… and as Jim Nantz said, “probably just won the tournament!”
“ARE YOU SERIOUS?!… INCREDIBLE!”
