With Launch of TGL, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods Are Proven to Be Frauds

So all that virtue signaling – about committing to the PGA Tour and whatnot – from Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy was flat-out fraudulent. Instead, it appears they were working on the launch of a side hustle and panicked that LIV would kill it in the crib by taking all the marquee names.

In a press release yesterday, which laughingly described the duo as having won “19 combined majors” (right… and Scottie Scheffler and Tiger have combined for 16 majors), the duo announced the launch of TGL Golf.

Essentially the “league” will be a glitzy version of the old Skins matches – or think The Challenge – Japan Skins, produced by GOLF TV in 2019. That exhibition, ahead of the ZOZO Championship in Japan, featured McIlroy, Woods, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama.

The TGL (Tiger Golf League?), a venture of TMRW (Tiger McIlroy Rory Woods) Sports, naturally co-branded under the umbrella of the monopoly tour, is being promoted as “an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA Tour, fusing advanced tech and live action in primetime.”

Taking a cue from LIV Golf League, the TGL “League” will also include team play, with six 3-player teams for a total of 18 players per event.

Also, stealing a page from the genius of LIV, the league only announced Woods and McIlroy as competitors, and will drip out new names, such as Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris, to keep the buzz flowing.

The “high-tech” company’s website crashed on day one but it’s currently up (for now); it describes TGL’s arenas as “custom-built” that “will combine a data-rich virtual course with a state-of-the-art short game complex.”

You. Can’t. Make. It. Up!

  1. What I can’t figure out is why anyone is on the PGA Tour at the moment. Or why anyone would want to be. All these current moves prove what frauds they’ve been. How can the players who aren’t in the scam trust anyone of them at all?
