In the marquee match up of the day, Patrick Reed drained a long bomb putt on the 17th hole to close out Jordan Spieth 3 Up and move on to the Sweet 16 with a perfect record.
In addition to Thomas and Reed, five other players finished 3-0-0 in pool play including Sergio Garcia (7), Alex Noren (13), Kiradech Aphibarnrat (28), Ian Poulter (58), and Charles Howell III (59).
