Three weeks ahead of the LPGA’s first major, Nelly Korda is being treated for a blood clot in her right arm.

The world No. 2, and reigning Olympic gold medalist, revealed the disturbing news on Instagram.

“On Friday, I went to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, to take pictures and appear at the show,” wrote Korda.

“On the advice of my doctor, I went to the Emergency Room as a precaution. I was diagnosed with a blood clot.

“I am currently receiving treatment at home to eliminate further risks. I will report your status. me and as more information becomes available.

“In the meantime, I’d like to thank everyone for their support and ask for privacy for our entire family during this time. I hope to be back soon!”

Korda was reportedly vacccinated ahead of the Tokyo Summer Olympics. A blood clot is one of the more serious side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines. Last month, both the CDC and Pfizer posted PSAs, which some criticized as an attempt to normalize a serious medical condition.

The 23-year-old American owns seven LPGA Tour titles – four of which came in 2021, including the KPMG Women’s PGA, her maiden major.

The Chevron Championship (formerly the ANA Inspiration), the first of the five LPGA majors, gets underway in Rancho Mirage, California on March 31.

  1. Wow, this piece on Korda’s blood clot wins the prize for irresponsible, intentionally dishonest journalism. Shame on you. Any second grader who does 39 seconds of research would know that the side effects from the vaccination occur within days or weeks of the vaccination. And the side effects from Covid also occur within days /weeks of an infection. She had Covid in January. She got vaccinated last summer. Blood clots are a Common side effect of Covid. For you to decide to blame her blood clot on the vaccine received six months prior is beyond the deplorable, unAmerican hate for science that Fox and Breitbart spews. Truly a POS writing effort.
  2. On top of all the near term dangers, we still don’t know the long term safety (or lack of same) with these shots….plus they don’t even work. Nobody knows anyone who’s gotten Measels Mumps or Rubella because everyone has had the MMR shot, and THAT vaccine works, breakthrough infections are incredibly rare. With the crappy covid shots breakthrough infections are the norm, they’re expected. I’m in Ontario Canada and just in this porivince there are thousands of confrimed infections among the fully jabbed every single day. Our hopsitals here are loaded with patients both in general wards and in ICU who are double and triple jabbed…..calling these vaccines effective is like calling a go-kart an automobile.

Keep up the good reporting, and don’t expect Pfizer or Moderna to send any advertising biz your way 🙂
