
Prior to the Ryder Cup matches at Hazeltine, two of the most iconic golf courses in the world – St. Andrews and Pinehurst – made a neat wager.

If the U.S. lost, Pinehurst No. 2 offered to fly the pin flag of St. Andrews on its 18th hole. And if the U.S. won, St. Andrews would have to fly Pinehurst’s flag.
Well, we all know who won.
And following the loss, St. Andrews announced that the wager would be honored.

So yesterday, there it was… the Pinehurst No. 2 flag was (slightly) blowing in the wind on the 18th hole at the Old Course at St. Andrews.
